Projekat “Puls integriteta i povjerenja u policiju na Zapadnom Balkanu” (POINTPULSE) koji realizuje Centar za sigurnosne studije, skupa sa nekoliko organizacija iz regije, predstavljen je u zvaničnicima svih policijskih tijela u BiH i tjela za nadzor nad radom policije u BiH u Sarajevu u četvrtak 23.aprila 2015.g.
Projekat je predstavljen na seminaru „Uloga nezavisnih tijela za žalbe na rad policijskih službenika u jačanju policijskog integriteta“ koji je organizovao Centar za sigurnosne studije u saradnji sa Ženevskim centrom za demokratsku kontrolu oružanih snaga (DCAF) i Odborom za žalbe građana na rad policijskih službenika u policijskim tijelima Bosne i Hercegovine. Projekat je naišao na veliku podršku i interesovanje kod svih učesnika seminara, pri čemu su izrazili želju da aktivno učestvuju u njegovoj realizaciji.
Cilj projekta POINTPULSE je da doprinese povećanju poverenja u policiju na Zapadnom Balkanu promocijom odgovornog rada i jačanjem integriteta policije. Radi nadgledanja borbe protiv korupcije u policijama na Zapadnom Balkanu , pet organizacija civilnog društva iz regiona okupilo su mrežu POINTPULSE (engl. Western Balkans Pulse for Police Integrity and Trust). Mrežu čine Beogradski centar za bezbednosnu politiku (BCBP) i Balkanska istraživačka mreža (BIRN) iz Beograda, Centar za sigurnosne studije (CSS) iz Sarajeva, Institut Alternativa (IA) iz Podgorice i Kosovski centar za bezbednosne studije (KCSS) iz Prištine.
Projekat finansira Delegacija EU u BiH a prva faza projekta traje do kraja 2015.g.
Thursday, 23 April 2015 in Sarajevo, Project “Western Balkans Pulse for Police Integrity and Trust” (POINTPULSE) implemented by the Centre for Security Studies, together with several organizations in the region, was presented to managers of all police bodies in BiH and to oversight bodies for police work.
Project was presented at the Seminar on the Role of Independent Police Complaints Bodies in Fostering Police Integrity organized by the Centre for Security Studies in cooperation with the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF) and Citizens’ Complaint Board on Work of the Police Officers in Police Bodies in BiH. Project was very welcomed by all participants who expressed willing to actively participate in its implementation.
The projects overall objective is to contribute to increasing trust and confidence in the law enforcement agencies in the Western Balkans by promoting police integrity and helping fight against corruption in the police. Five civil society organizations – Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP) and Balkan Investigative Reporting Network (BIRN), Centre for Security Studies (CSS) from Sarajevo, Institute Alternative (IA) from Montenegro and Kosovo Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) from Prishtina – networked into POINTPULSE (Western Balkans Pulse for Police Integrity and Trust) aimed to oversight of police integrity in the Western Balkans.
Financial support is ensured by the Delegation of the European Union in BiH and the project’s first phase will last until the end of 2015.
