Through an interactive and practical training approach, this course helped participants to:- Better understand the concept of evaluation of SSR, including actors, concept and principles;
– Understand the political nature of SSR and the challenges faced when ‘supporting’ SSR processes in post-conflict contexts;
– Understand synergies and complementariness between peace support operations and SSR;
– Identify the common challenges and opportunities for both PSO and SSR;
– Use concrete cases to build on lessons learned and apply concepts to practice;

The course will assist PSOTC to develop the capacity of PSOTC to enable integration of SSR into PSOTC training curricula and additionally set PSOTC on the path to the delivery of SSR courses for BiH and regional students.

This seminar is part of CSS project named „Support to institutional building of PSOTC in increasing their capacities for smooth transition to local ownership” financed from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway.
