U okviru inicijative „Žene i sigurnost? Prirodno, skroz“, koju finansira Evropska unija, 2. i 3. oktobra 2025. godine, u Konjicu, održana je radionica posvećena prepoznavanju i sprečavanju rodno zasnovane diskriminacije i seksualnog uznemiravanja na radnom mjestu.

Radionica je okupila policijske službenike i službenice iz odjela za unutrašnju kontrolu različitih policijskih agencija u Bosni i Hercegovini (BiH), profesionalce koji svakodnevno doprinose očuvanju integriteta i povjerenja u policijsku službu.

Već na početku, kroz uvodna obraćanja i ulazni test od deset pitanja, učesnici i učesnice su se upoznali s programom obuke i stepenom vlastitog predznanja. Prosječna početna ocjena iznosila je 6.52.

Tokom prvog dana, radionica je otvorila prostor za diskusiju o pojmovima ravnopravnosti spolova, zakonskom okviru i institucionalnim mehanizmima koji uređuju ovu oblast u BiH. U praktičnom dijelu, kroz grupni rad i razmjenu iskustava, učesnici su identifikovali najčešće rodne stereotipe i predrasude prisutne u policijskom okruženju te analizirali kako oni mogu uticati na profesionalne odnose i pojavu diskriminacije.

Drugi dan bio je usmjeren na prepoznavanje i dokazivanje konkretnih slučajeva rodne diskriminacije i seksualnog uznemiravanja. Nakon sesije o mehanizmima zaštite i pravnim postupcima, učesnici su analizirali primjere iz prakse i otvoreno razgovarali o izazovima prijavljivanja i dokazivanja ovih pojava unutar institucija.

Radionica je završena evaluacijom i dodjelom certifikata, uz značajan rezultat – prosječna ocjena na izlaznom testu iznosila je 8.92, što predstavlja povećanje od gotovo 37% u odnosu na ulazni test. Napredak jasno pokazuje da su učesnici i učesnice ne samo unaprijedili svoja znanja, već i razumijevanje važnosti rodne ravnopravnosti u svakodnevnom profesionalnom djelovanju.

Ova radionica još jednom potvrđuje da jačanje svijesti o rodnoj diskriminaciji i seksualnom uznemiravanju nije samo institucionalna obaveza, već i korak ka stvaranju inkluzivne, profesionalne i odgovorne policijske službe, one koja djeluje bez predrasuda i u službi svih građana i građanki.

GESOSS BiH – A Police Service Without Prejudice: Strengthening Capacities to Recognize and Prevent Gender Discrimination

As part of the initiative “Women and Security? Naturally, Completely!”, funded by the European Union, a workshop dedicated to recognizing and preventing gender-based discrimination and sexual harassment in the workplace was held in Konjic on 2–3 October 2025.

The workshop brought together police officers from internal control departments of various law enforcement agencies across Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) – professionals who play a key role in upholding the integrity and public trust in the police service.

At the very beginning, through introductory remarks and an entry test consisting of ten questions, participants familiarized themselves with the workshop agenda and assessed their initial level of knowledge. The average entry test score was 6.52.

The first day of the workshop created space for discussions on key concepts of gender equality, as well as the legal and institutional frameworks that regulate this field in BiH. During the practical segment, participants engaged in group exercises and experience sharing, identifying common gender stereotypes and biases within police environments and exploring their potential impact on professional relationships and workplace discrimination.

The second day focused on recognizing and proving specific cases of gender-based discrimination and sexual harassment. Following a session on protection mechanisms and legal procedures, participants analyzed real-life examples and discussed the challenges of reporting and documenting such incidents within institutions.

The workshop concluded with an evaluation session and certificate distribution, achieving a remarkable result — the average exit test score reached 8.92, representing an improvement of nearly 37% compared to the initial test. This progress clearly demonstrates that participants not only enhanced their knowledge but also deepened their understanding of the importance of gender equality in everyday professional practice.

Once again, this workshop reaffirmed that raising awareness of gender discrimination and sexual harassment is not merely an institutional duty but a vital step toward building an inclusive, professional, and accountable police service — one that operates without prejudice and in the service of all citizens.
